Trac-Pro (Pty) Ltd ("Trac-Pro", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. Information we collect

• Enquiry details you send through our website form, by email or by phone: your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
• Job and vehicle details needed to quote for or carry out work, such as vehicle make, model and registration, and installation or service records.
• Tracking data, where you use a tracking or fleet management service we install or support: vehicle location and related device data, as set out in your service agreement.
• Basic website data such as your browser type and the pages you visit, which our hosting provider may record for security and performance.

2. How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and give you quotes.
• To book, carry out and support installations, diagnostics and other work.
• To provide tracking, recovery and fleet management services you have signed up for.
• To keep records required by law, for example for tax and accounting.

We will not sell your personal information. We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where needed to deliver our services or where the law requires it, for example with tracking device and platform providers, recovery partners, our IT and hosting providers, and authorities when legally obliged. We require these parties to keep your information secure and confidential.

4. How we protect it

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and we keep it only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

5. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. To do so, contact our Information Officer at info@trac-pro.co.za. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
